H S B C For the fourth year running we were at the Barbican centre last month for the global AGM of HSBC Stockholdings. The one day event was totally redesigned this year to freshen up the on-stage elements as well as the delegates' experience before and after the event. Four trucks of custom built staging and set made its way to London and back, the only question now is where we're going to keep it all until next year!

M A R I O   M A N I A ! Mamma mia! Another event in London last month, this time with BD Networks for the midnight launch of Nintendo's latest blockbuster game for their Wii console. Super Mario Galaxy 2 was released at a special launch night at Game in Oxford Street on June 11th. The event was hosted by Charles Martinet, who is the voice of the dungaree wearing plumber, against a custom made back drop of full digital print wired with LED starcloth, all made in house at PDS.

H E R O E S   O F   T H E   W O R L D   C U P We added the Emirates Stadium to our list of stadiums we've worked in last month, while working on an event with London agency The Bank. Heroes of the World Cup was a special charity evening hosted by the NSPCC and Teens Unite to raise awareness and more importantly, cash! The evening gave guests a chance to meet and put questions to several world cup legends including Carlos Alberto (captain of the winning 1970 Brazilian team). PDS were on site to provide full technical support in the shape of lighting, AV and PA whilst also installing set, staging and furniture for the event.

B I T C   A W A R D S With all these events in London, it's nice to do something a little closer to home sometimes! We've just returned from this year's Business In The Community Awards which took place in Nottingham. We were on site working for local event managers MEDIA maker to provide substantial amounts of lighting along with interior and exterior dressing. Outside we provided carpet, inside we provided trees dressed with fairy lights. No, it really was that way round...

S H O W   Y O U R   C O L O U R S We might have been working at the Emirates Stadium last month, but we're no glory grabbers (which is just as well really). This month we will (very proudly!) be working with Derby County FC again with their kit launch for the 10-11 season. The event will take place at the stadium on July 16th at 6pm and is open to the public.
